A Steam Trap Management
Program is a cost effective way to increase energy efficiency and
reduce associated CO2 emissions.
Our Program Includes:
Steam Trap surveys and
performance reports
Steam Trap repair and
or upgrade replacement
Steam Trapping stations
and associated equipment
Drain Valve Isolation
and Bypass repairs and upgrades
A Steam Trap Management Program will improve the “Lifetime Cost”
of the system:
Improves the overall
efficiency and safety of plant.
Maintains high performance
levels by eliminating weaknesses in design layout.
Reduces steam losses
and associated costs with raising steam
Real (Lifetime) Cost = Energy Efficiency +Product Performance +Safety.
Steam trap surveys are a cost effective way of determining your
lifetime costs. Deterioration of steam trap valve seats is determined
as a quantitive value (the level of deterioration), which helps
to assess the size of the steam leak and thus to calculate the steam
loss. This unique solution enhances the accurate diagnosis of steam
trap problems. Valves used on Trap Isolation and By-pass can also
be tested to determine seat wear. The Trap Management Program Will
determine steam losses over a period of time and a budget can be
used against these losses. The steam trap reports will also identify
the most reliable trap types by area and manufacturer.
This results in:
1. Less Leaking Traps
Less steam waste
Lower fuel costs and
reduced CO2 emissions into the Atmosphere.
Lower rates of water
make-up and associated pre-treatment chemical costs
Less wear on pumps and
associated equipment.
2. Less Blocked Traps
Less damage from water
hammer
Less corrosion in pipe
work
Better quality of steam
Improved control on
process
3. Less Valve Bypass/Packing Leakage
Less steam waste
Lower fuel costs and
reduced CO2 emissions into the Atmosphere.
Lower rates of water
make-up and associated pre-treatment chemical costs
Less wear on pumps and
associated equipment.
